Planning builds before you enter the gate
Ascend to ZERO runs are won during frozen time when you select Tech Chips, slot weapons, and choose whether to push into higher-level rooms. The Build Planner does not simulate RNG—it maps your avatar choice and playstyle to the wiki pages that explain synergies in depth. Golden Gunslinger players leaning ranged should follow the ranged builds guide, while Blossom Blade specialists need the melee builds guide for cleave timing and resume burst windows.
Chip focus changes your first three picks. Offensive focus stacks resume AOE and weapon skill chips from the Tech Chips catalog. Survival focus extends freeze utility documented in how to use time freeze. Economy focus accelerates XP and gold to unlock Hub vendors faster, aligning with how to get stronger meta priorities.
Weapon slots and demo limitations
Early demo saves may only expose one weapon slot until Hub progression unlocks slot modules. Planning three weapons before you have slots leads to wasted freeze time browsing options you cannot equip. After generating a path, run one demo attempt and refine chip focus based on whether you lost time to damage or slow kills.
